Mastodon Reveals New Album Name & Track Listing
by, rigs

Mastodon’s newest will sport the title Crack The Skye and will be released early 2009.  With Brendan O’Brien as producer, Crack The Skye was recorded at Southern Tracks Studios in Atlanta and will be released on Reprise Records.

Regarding Crack… Troy Sanders, Mastodon’s front man / bassist told MetalSucks “I think most of our new material is going to be more under the rock category, but it’s pretty epic and involved, extremely layered, broad, melodic, dark, and creepy.”  You can read more over at Blabbermouth.net.

Want the track listing? Ok.

01. Oblivion
02. Divinations
03. Quintessence
04. The Czar
I. Usurper
II. Escape
III. Martyr
IV. Spiral
05. Ghost of Karelia
06. Crack The Skye
07. The Last Baron

If you want a bit more info, Revolver has got some.  And… if you want to hear some Mastodon.

About Rusted Noodle

First off, we like you. Second, we came up with Rusted Noodle a while ago. Thirdly, we have a lot planned for the Noodle, but aren't going to give it all away just yet (mainly because sites with beaucoup budgets will ransack our code and beat us to online music media glory). We're keeping it pretty simple right now; we'd love a little feedback. We don't take ourselves too seriously, however music, well that's a whole different monster... arrrr. We'll update this later to sound more hip and more like them and them (insert wily emoticon). Later, friends.
