Snoop’d: Darwin Deez
by, rigs

Found Darwin Deez while browsing through the free offers on Amie St.

You Might Hear: a vocal gallimaufry of a young Ben Gibbard, a quirky Jon Foreman (what?! I know.), and the occasional David Bazan (the whine, the upper register), a stylish approach to guitar accompaniment, aspiring MGMT (maybe more Postal Service) tendencies, and remember the atmospheric, moody beats of Her Space Holiday?  Well, a little of that with more sugar.

Listen:

From Deez’s MySpace:

He plays a 4-string electric guitar in his own invented, secret tuning. He was raised by Baba Lovers (followers of Avatar Meher Baba, like Pete Townshend) in Chapel Hill, NC. Five years ago, he left Wesleyan University (MGMT, Erase Errata) to start a band in New York City. Their current live set features his original songs, harsh electronic noise, and bouts of synchronized dancing.

After reading that, you have to see this:

I laughed out loud when I watched this. I really like the jazz hand up and down dance move. The little chicken walk at the end was pretty hilarious. Is he wearing a headband?

About Rusted Noodle

First off, we like you. Second, we came up with Rusted Noodle a while ago. Thirdly, we have a lot planned for the Noodle, but aren't going to give it all away just yet (mainly because sites with beaucoup budgets will ransack our code and beat us to online music media glory). We're keeping it pretty simple right now; we'd love a little feedback. We don't take ourselves too seriously, however music, well that's a whole different monster... arrrr. We'll update this later to sound more hip and more like them and them (insert wily emoticon). Later, friends.
